There’s a reference in the end to Bartleby sleeping “with kings and counselors” that the professor pointed out is a reference to these lines from the Bible: It’s kind of sad really, t This was an odd story but by the end, the narrator does give a little insight into Bartleby’s mental state that caused his odd transformation.
